How to Clean a Domestic Traditional Espresso Machine

• Step 1: Remove the filter from the group handle and replace it with a blind filter (or add a rubber disc).
• Step 2: Add one Tevo Mini tablet into the group handle and insert as if brewing (refer to your coffee machine cleaning instructions).
• Step 3: Start the cycle and run for 10 seconds to dissolve the tablet.
• Step 4: Stop the cycle and allow it to sit for 10 seconds.
• Step 5: Repeat the cycle 4 more times.
• Step 6: Remove the portafilter. You will see brownish soapy water containing dissolved tablet and coffee residues.
• Step 7: Rinse the blind filter thoroughly under running water.
• Step 8: Clean the group head, shower screen, and group seal with a brush to remove coffee grounds.
• Step 9: Reinsert the portafilter with the blind filter.
• Step 10: Start & stop the cycle 10 more times – run for 5 seconds, and stop for 2 seconds to ensure thorough rinsing.
• Step 11: Now you should see clean water in the portafilter.
• Step 12: Remove the blind filter and insert the regular filter.
• Step 13: Brew and discard a single espresso to re-season the machine.
• Step 14: Clean, rinse, and dry the drip tray.
• Step 15: Run 500ml of fresh water through the group head into an empty container.

• Step 17: Soak the portafilter and filter basket in the mixed solution for 10 minutes.
