The ‘New Silvia’ is the 2021 model from Rancilio. The brew group cover is now black and is less susceptible to wear on its predecessor. In addition, the buttons of the New Silvia have changed slightly in design and you now also receive a black 58mm tamper with the machine. The steam pipe is now also made of full stainless steel, which reduces wear and rust on the steam tap and pipe.

Technical improvement

From version 4, the Rancilio silvia espresso machine has a new heating element which is attached with screw thread and a single gasket, which makes the machine a lot friendlier in maintenance. In addition, we only sell the E version, this machine has an auto-eco mode that ensures that the machine switches itself off automatically after 30 minutes. The Rancilio New Silvia also has an insulated boiler that better retains its heat, this ensures less heat loss and ensures that coffee tastes just a little fuller.

Features

• The Rancilio Silvia uses a commercial sized portafilter (group handle) with 58mm filter baksets. This make the Silvia one of the only machines under $1000 to use a commercial sized portafilter.
• The marine brass (not alluminium) boiler boasts a 300ml capacity (quite large for a home machine of this size). This allows for ample steam for frothing and the boiler regenerates quickly for multiple espressos.
• A well designed single hole steam wand, combined with a powerful boiler produces ample steam volume, duration and velocity for quick and effective frothing.
