Group Spouts
The group spout performs a simple functions, however they are a little more important to the delivery of coffee than most realise. Cups size and machine cup clearance will affect which spout, as different highs affect the clearance, especially when using larger takeaway cups. On a double spout, the width between spouts also become important as the cups become larger especially for those trying to use a double spout for both splitting shots and running a double shot from a single espresso cup. Another consideration becomes weather the spout is covered/enclosed or open with a movement now to allow shots to expand and be clearly seen by the barista. For a double spout, generally the best option is part number 511672 or 511674. While for a single part number 700024 is common however singles could still be run from a double spout or bottomless portafilter.
